What you need to know about this position:- Broad Imaging Services Department, that performs an average of 80,000 exams per year and offering CT Scan, MRI, PET Scan, Ultra Sound, Nuclear Medicine and all digital X-Ray.
- Our Imaging Services Department supports Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Departments.
- Provides healthcare services applying x-ray energy and computer processing techniques to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
- Performs computed tomography and related procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
- Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
- Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient's conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $32.29. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- This full-time position will require you to work 4-10-hour days, 8:00am-6:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with a weekend, holiday and on-call rotation.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent degree, completion of a military radiology program or completion of a hospital based radiology program required. Any and all must be approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- One year of practical experience as a Radiologic Technologist or equivalent is required
- Graduate working under a valid Student Rad Tech license:
Must maintain a valid X-Ray Machine Operators License from the Indiana State Department of Health within 6 months post-graduation - Current Registration from ARRT required within 90 days post-graduation, required CE credits must be maintained in accordance with accrediting bodies requirements
- Registered Computer Tomography (CT) with AART required within 12 months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and talk or hear; frequently required to walk, sit and reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and push or pull; must regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs, occasionally lift and/or move more than 100lbs.
