The fellowship will prepare trainees to provide a broad range of behavioral health services in an outpatient behavioral health setting, with a focus on adults with ADHD and comorbid disorders. In addition to providing clinical services, fellows participate in regularly scheduled training activities such as weekly individual supervision with a licensed psychologist. Throughout the training year, fellows work closely with interdisciplinary team members, such as psychiatrists.
Fellows will also have the opportunity to work closely with other trainees and other psychology fellows in the department.
PhD in Clinical or School Psychology required.
Responsibilities & Training Experiences- Conduct comprehensive psychological and psycho educational evaluations to diagnose ADHD and comorbid disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression, learning disorders), write integrative reports with individualized recommendations, and provide feedback to patients.
- Provide individual psychotherapy using evidence‑based interventions for ADHD and comorbid disorders.
- Provide umbrella supervision to psychiatry residents in monthly ADHD diagnosis meetings.
- Select a one‑day secondary rotation. Examples of possible secondary rotations (dependent on supervisor availability):
- Women’s Behavioral Health (WBH)
- Anxiety Disorders Clinic
- Suicide Prevention and Trauma
- Sleep Medicine
- Pain Medicine
- Depression Recovery Clinic
- ADHD Related Research (with Drs. Arnold and/or Barterian)
- The fellow will spend 3 days in the ADHD clinic providing assessment and individual therapy services and 1 day in chosen secondary rotation.
- One hour per week of individual supervision with licensed clinical psychologist(s).
- Didactic fellowship training and department Grand Rounds.
- Written evaluations conducted at least twice per year and reviewed in face‑to‑face meetings with supervisor(s).
Duties will include: provide individual psychotherapy, complete diagnostic assessments and report writing, provide umbrella supervision to psychiatry residents; attend individual and/or group supervision, participate in didactic and educational opportunities, engage in scholarly activities.
