Agency OverviewBureau of Motor Vehicles
Oversees driver and motor vehicle licensing and registration and continues to services more convenient, efficient and cost-effective.
- Conduct onsite visitations and complete periodic and special assignments to oversee and evaluate deputy registrar agencies.
- Check revenue and document disposition by reviewing end of day reports.
- Complete early and/or late visits to ensure agency open and close procedures are observed.
- Verify and remove items for return to Bureau of Motor Vehicles’ warehouse to keep deputy registrar agency free of salvage plates, obsolete items, and returned items for credit.
- Option 1: 2 years experience reviewing documents for accuracy and compliance; 6 months training or experience operating computer hardware, software and peripheral equipment; 1 course or 3 months experience in typing or word processing; valid driver’s license.
- Option 2: 2 years experience as office manager or assistant office manager in a deputy registrar agency in Ohio; valid driver’s license.
- Option 3: 2 years experience in Ohio Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Motor Vehicles, in a position dealing with issuance of operator licenses and vehicle registration; 6 months training or experience operating computer hardware, software and peripheral equipment; 1 course or 3 months experience in typing or word processing; valid driver’s license.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
