Environmental Protection Specialist; Instructor

• If selected at the GS-11 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity
• Performs a variety of tasks and responsibilities in the areas of course management, educational research, delivery of instruction, curriculum development, educational evaluation, and consultation.
• Oversees, and performs major updates, general maintenance, implementation, administration, scheduling, and evaluation of assigned course(s) of instruction in the field of environmental protection.
• Instructs courses in the field of environmental protection in such areas as environmental laws, Transportation of Haz Mat/Haz Waste, according to Department of Transportation regulations,..
• …Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) Facility Compliance, Safety, Manifesting, and Environmental Workshops on the disposal of Hazardous Materials/Hazardous Wastes (HM/HW).
• Develops and maintains course materials for environmental protection courses.
• Conducts research in this field in order to improve the quality of instruction and contribute to the professional body of knowledge relating to environmental protection
