** What You’ll Do as an Intern
** As a Finance Controllership Intern, you’ll gain exposure to meaningful work that builds your skills. Your responsibilities may include:
* Leading a self-directed continuous improvement project
* Reviewing and updating standard operating procedures
* Assisting with financial reporting and special projects
* Reconciling balance sheets
* Preparing statutory accounting schedules and documentation
* Supporting process automation initiatives
* Auditing expenses and preparing escheat filings
* Managing risk and controls, including testing and reporting
* Assisting with tax return preparation and filing

You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of corporate accounting, regulatory compliance, and how finance drives business strategy.

**** This internship will be part-time, hybrid or remote.
***** Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program. At its sole discretion, Nationwide determines whether to offer sponsorship for qualifying positions based on business need and budget. However, it is not usually available for entry level roles.
