Position: Financial Program Manager (20046707)

What We Need YOU To Do:

Ohio EPA wants you to join our Division of Environmental Response and Revitalization (DERR) as a financial program manager at its Central Office in Columbus, Ohio.

Join a team that’s protecting Ohio’s environment every day.

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented person to handle DERR’s financial operations. This capable individual will oversee the division’s accounts payable/receivable and purchasing activity to ensure all transactions meet federal and state requirements.

You’ll handle the fiscal side of DERR’s grant programs—from applications and amendments to maintaining grant files and completing close‑outs—and guide the tracking of the division’s Level of Effort (LOE) mobilizations to ensure compliance with state procurement rules. You’ll also coordinate fiscal management of DERR’s cost recovery and fee collections, working closely with program staff and associated agency and state offices.

If you like working under the ‘hood’, you’ll have the opportunity to design and produce custom financial reports in various financial and data analysis systems to produce clear, actionable reports for internal and external stakeholders.

We’ll tally up the key tasks:
  • Supervise, authorize and approve the divisions’ accounts payable/ receivable and purchasing activity.
  • Oversee the fiscal administration of DERR’s grants programs.
  • Coordinate and track DERR’s Level of Effort (LOE) Mobilizations.
  • Coordinate fiscal management with associated agency and state offices.
  • Design and build custom financial reports in various electronic systems.
