Financial Analyst, PN

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review accounting records and financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Process and reconcile a wide range of Accounts Payable invoices within the financial system
• Generate and analyze financial reports to research, troubleshoot, and resolve payment issues
• Verify and correct financial data by reviewing coding, backup documentation, and mathematical accuracy
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research discrepancies and resolve complex payment issues
• High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with financial data, coding, and compliance requirements
• Technical proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools including a strong skillset in Microsoft Excel
• Effective communication and collaboration skills and ability to coordinate with internal and external customers to resolve issues efficiently

• 30 months experience or 30 months of training in accounting and/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software
• Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 6 months experience or 6 months of training in accounting and/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software
• Or 12 months experience as Financial Associate, 66561
• Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

  Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
