Escrow Officer
Investors Title Insurance Company
Columbus, Ohio (in office)

Do you thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment where real estate transactions come together seamlessly? We’re looking for an experienced Escrow Officer to expertly manage real estate closings from start to finish. In this client-facing role, you’ll guide all parties—buyers, sellers, lenders, and realtors—through the escrow process with professionalism, ensuring compliance, title clearance, and timely disbursement of funds.

Responsibilities
  • Open new escrow orders and enter data into escrow systems
  • Order title searches and issue title commitments to transaction parties
  • Review commitments to identify and resolve title exceptions
  • Coordinate document preparation and submission for accurate and timely closings
  • Guide closings from contract to completion, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Clear title issues and assemble, prepare, and review all closing documents
  • Disburse funds per instructions and company wire fraud prevention protocols
  • Ensure timely issuance of owner’s and lender’s title insurance policies
  • Act as a liaison between buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and attorneys
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding the closing process and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal departments to fulfill pre-closing requirements
  • Support post-closing activities, including document recording and follow-up
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in escrow or title operations (Ohio preferred)
  • Proven ability to clear title, prepare HUDs/Closing Disclosures, and manage end-to-end closings
  • Familiarity with legal documents, real estate tax/insurance pr orations, and escrow terminology
  • Detail-oriented with strong mathematical and document review skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Soft Pro preferred
  • Professional, courteous, and responsive in all client interactions
