Project Professional, Forensic & Dispute Advisory

The FDAS Project Professional supports Directors, Managers, and professional staff in a wide range of forensic accounting, economic damages, valuation, and litigation support engagements. This position contributes to engagement execution by performing analytical, technical, and administrative project tasks, maintaining high standards of accuracy, and supporting the team in delivering high-quality client service. The FDAS Project Professional focuses on four major firm initiatives:
Profitability, Practice Growth, Client Focus, and Brand Culture/Development.

Work Area/Department:

Forensic & Dispute Advisory Services (FDAS)

Tasks
  • Perform financial analysis, including gathering, organizing, and summarizing data from clients and external sources.
  • Help prepare discovery requests, deposition questions, and analyses of opposing expert reports as directed.
  • Prepare client-related documents such as engagement letters, inventory schedules, file archiving, and other administrative components necessary for engagement execution.
  • Coordinate and track confirmations, document requests, and other information exchange with clients, counsel, and third parties.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical engagement files in accordance with firm and FDAS documentation standards.
  • Assist in developing marital balance sheets, income analysis, support calculations and separate property tracing used in family law cases.
  • Assist in preparing expert reports, exhibits, schedules, and supporting documentation for litigation matters.
  • Other tasks related to FDAS engagements, as requested.
Profitability
  • Perform assigned project tasks within defined budgets and timelines.
  • Produce accurate, complete, and organized work papers that meet FDAS and firm documentation standards.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining responsiveness.
  • Utilize firm software systems—including analytics tools, document management systems, and Microsoft Office—efficiently and consistently.
  • Support standardization and process efficiency across recurring FDAS tasks (e.g., data requests, analysis templates, report formatting).
Practice Growth
  • Assist in preparing thought leadership materials, such as articles, presentations, or industry updates.
  • Remain up to date on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging FDAS service opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery or expand FDAS capabilities through improved tools, templates, or processes.
Client Focus
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and critical thinking skills when identifying issues, inconsistencies, or potential risks in financial data.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of conduct and independence.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members and external clients to facilitate smooth information flow.
  • Work well under deadlines, adapting quickly to changing priorities or urgent requests.
  • Collaborate closely with direct supervisors to ensure expectations are clear and work is progressing appropriately.

  • Exemplify the Firm’s Brand Attributes and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Support adherence to all administrative policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and confidently address questions or challenges.

  • Display professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Work Experience & Education
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word required); experience with data analysis tools preferred.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities, including managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed based on client or case demands.
  • Professional certifications (CPA, CFE, CFA, CVA, ABV, ASA) a plus but not required.
Organizational Relationships
  • The FDAS Project Professional will report directly to a Performance Manager and receive task-specific direction from Seniors, Managers and Directors.
Special Requirements
  • Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information.
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis, depending on engagement needs.
  • Ability to work extended hours as required for litigation deadlines or project workloads.
