As the Fund Controller, You Will...Manage fund accounting, including capital calls, distributions, financial reporting, audits, and tax, all supported by our back office accounting team
Develop financial models, fund pacing/reserves plans, and forecasts to drive business planning and the company’s strategic objectives
Help establish and manage sound internal financial management control systems and develop procedures to continuously improve internal controls
Monitor and track portfolio performance to assist with valuations
Support our Investor Relations team with timely and professional communications to Limited Partners
Assist with creating portfolio performance analytics and crafting meaningful visualizations to communicate insights to senior leadership
Liaise with professional relationships across the firm (fund administrators, attorneys, bankers, compliance advisers, etc.)
About YouYou’re proficient in fund accounting and are looking to grow your leadership experience
You’re comfortable in Quickbooks and Excel, or have worked with other GL or ERP software. Bonus points if you’ve worked in Allvue (formerly Alta Return)
You’re excited about scaling the finance function, applying the breadth of your previous experiences in financial reporting and analysis, portfolio management, accounting, and operations
You can manage many different stakeholders and build conviction around a strategy based on accurate and timely analysis
You’re energized by learning as you go, finding creative ways to organize and solve ambiguous challenges
You have the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions autonomously
Hard SkillsCPA or CFA preferred, but not required
Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience in preparing, auditing, analyzing or evaluating financial statements
Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
Experience working with closed-end funds, in asset management, or an entrepreneurial environment
Have worked on or with a compliance or controls team
