Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager - Columbus, OH

One of Atrium's top clients, a reputable and growing rental organization, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team in Columbus, OH. This role is highly visible, managing multi-location sites and accounting staff, with a strong technical background in US GAAP and proven management experience.

Salary: $120k - $150k plus bonus

The Accounting Manager reports directly to the CFO and primarily assists with consolidated financial reporting while ensuring all accounting activities are accurate and compliant. The role leads financial review processes and partners with decentralized accounting staff, supporting broader strategic finance initiatives.

• Oversee the complete month-end close process and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.
• Review and consolidate site-level financials into accurate company-wide financial statements.
• Manage AP, AR, and payroll review to ensure alignment with company policies.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, US GAAP standards, and state and local sales tax requirements.
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with the Director of Finance.
• Lead preparation of audit-ready financials and support external audit processes.
• Support the centralization of accounting processes to drive standardization and efficiency.
• Review and consolidate budgets, providing financial insights and recommendations.
• Work closely with both internal and external auditors as needed.

• 5 – 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience supervising accounting teams across multiple entities.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, consolidations, and audit preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Quick Books or other ERP systems.
• Ability to thrive in a growing, evolving environment with competing priorities.

• Experience with private equity reporting.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Background in both public accounting and private industry.
• Familiarity with multi-location operations and centralizing accounting functions.
• CPA preferred but not required.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
