Financial Controller
Location: Columbus, OH

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or VP of Finance
Position Overview: We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead our client's accounting and financial operations in a fast‑paced technology and fintech environment. This role will be instrumental in driving financial integrity, compliance, and scalability as the company continues to grow and innovate.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with department heads.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax filings.
- Support fundraising efforts, investor reporting, and financial due diligence.
- Implement and optimize financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., Net Suite, Quick Books, Sage Intacct).
- Mentor and manage a growing team of accountants and analysts.
- Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior finance role.
- Experience in the technology or fintech sector strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, subscription revenue models, and fintech compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
