Position Title: Mortgage Banking Consultant
Business Unit: Mortgage Administration
Reports to: Varies based on assignment
This position is primarily responsible for originating residential mortgage loans through internal and external referral sources. The role includes building and maintaining strong referral relationships, counseling mortgage customers, providing excellent customer service, and supporting key channel initiatives. Responsibilities include meeting or exceeding personal production and strategic activity goals.
Primary Responsibilities- Build relationships with internal and external referral sources through key sales strategies and activities.
- Counsel customers on lending options and solutions.
- Support and facilitate key banking partnerships.
- Provide excellent service and support an outstanding customer mortgage experience.
- Effectively manage loan pipeline to meet key milestones.
- Provide feedback to management on process efficiencies and customer experience.
- Assist with recruiting and hiring of support team members as needed.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
- Serve as a risk manager for daily business activities.
High School or GED.
Minimum # of Years of Experience3 years.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use general office equipment
- Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software
- MS Word – basic level
- MS Excel – basic level
- MS PowerPoint – basic level
- BS or BA degree preferred
- Must possess a Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry identifier
- Experience with Easylender, Uni-form, and Genesis
