• Establish referral source relationships for a steady flow of loan volume from real estate brokers and other external sources.
• Generate new business by building and maintaining relationships with realtors, real estate agents, title and escrow officers, financial advisers, CPAs, and other relevant professionals.
• Participate in mortgage sales activities, including attending closings, open houses, and conducting seminars.
• Take borrower information and fill out the loan application.
• Analyze borrower income and debt to pre-qualify and determine the maximum mortgage they can afford.
• Counsel borrowers on home buying and financing options, explaining different loan products and associated costs.
• Collect financial documents such as tax returns and bank statements.
• Provide necessary disclosures to borrowers.
• Assist borrowers in understanding and clearing credit issues.
• Maintain contact with borrowers, realtors, and lenders during the process.
• Order legal documents and review HUDs prior to closing.
