We are seeking a qualified candidate for an environmental consulting position to perform both office and field work associated with Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. This role focuses on planning, implementing, and reporting environmental sampling programs to evaluate soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and other media for potential contamination. The ideal candidate has strong field experience, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver high-quality, defensible data and reports.
Responsibilities- Perform field data collection for environmental investigations.
- Collect and compile environmental data from samples of soil, water, and other materials.
- Collect and document field data in accordance with project plans.
- Coordinate laboratory sample submittals and maintain chain of custody.
- Interpret analytical results and compare them to regulatory standards.
- Prepare technical sections of Phase II ESA reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- 5+ years of relevant Phase II ESA work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
- Ability to work in variable conditions, including uneven ground and access to remote sites.
- Ability to routinely lift varying weights from 10-50 pounds.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPR certification is a plus.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
