A client in the Columbus, OH area is seeking to add 5 Engineering Technicians to their growing team. This role supports active construction projects through field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials to ensure work is performed in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards. The Engineering Technician III serves as a key field resource, working closely with Project Managers, clients, and contractors to verify quality, document results, and maintain safety and compliance on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Test and inspect construction materials in the field or lab to confirm work meets requirements
- Monitor contractor activities and report site conditions and test results to project teams
- Collect, label, and transport material samples to the lab for further testing
- Prepare and submit daily reports and documentation to the Project Manager
- Maintain equipment and work areas, assist with technician scheduling, and follow all safety requirements
