About the RoleOur client is seeking a Systems/Network Engineer to support the organization’s infrastructure, including servers, network hardware, virtualization environments, cloud services, and security systems. This role blends hands‑on engineering with problem‑solving, project support, and continuous improvement.
You’ll work closely with IT leadership, end users, and cross‑functional teams to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance across the entire technology environment.
What You’ll Do- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments
- Support Active Directory, group policy, DNS/DHCP, and identity services
- Maintain and optimize network devices including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Support virtualization environments (VMware or Hyper‑V)
- Assist with cloud workloads (Azure preferred)
- Monitor system performance and resolve escalated issues across servers, networks, and infrastructure
- Implement system updates, patches, and security configurations
- Support infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, and network improvements
- Maintain documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and industry best practices
- 4+ years of experience in Systems or Network Engineering
- Hands‑on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
- Strong understanding of switching, routing, VLANs, VPN, and firewalls
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper‑V)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure
- Knowledge of backup systems, monitoring tools, and disaster recovery practices
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across server, network, and application layers
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a hybrid environment
