Responsibilities include working with project managers and team members to develop engineering designs for permitting or construction permits. You will manage civil or environmental engineering projects that involve land development, soil and erosion control design, and stormwater permitting. Your work will include analyzing documentation such as technical reports, construction submittals, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to understand site characteristics and support design development.

You will review applicable regulations and standards, develop civil engineering designs on projects of varying complexity, produce quality materials within tight time frames, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Travel up to 15% and conduct field assignments as needed, including client and stakeholder meetings. You will also delegate work, mentor junior engineers, facilitate group meetings, and work effectively with project, technical, and client teams.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or a closely related field
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience
• Fluent with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or other terrain modeling design software
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., Hydro
  
  CAD, WinTR‑55, Pond Pack, HEC‑RAS)

• Master of Science in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or a closely related field
• OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER Training
• Professional Engineering license(s)
• Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control
• VADEQ‑Certified Plan Reviewer and Inspector for Erosion and Sediment Control and/or for Stormwater Management
