Position Summary

Civil Design Group Manager – Columbus, OH

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple design teams in daily operations
  • Develop staffing needs and distribute work to balance team workloads
  • Work with team leaders/project managers to monitor overall project health (scope, schedule, budget, etc.)
  • Monitor group workload, utilization and billable hours
  • Collaborate with Civil Service Line leaders to identify additional staffing needs (training, personnel, etc.)
  • Mentor staff while executing office and company growth plans
  • Prepare proposals/ contracts and manage projects
  • Deliver work tasks on time and on budget
  • Coordinate with MSG staff across surveying, environmental, geotechnical, structural, traffic, transportation, landscape architecture and construction administration services
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Record of managing multiple civil design engineers, teams, projects and disciplines
  • Proven management process and style
  • Willingness to mentor and teach junior staff
  • Private development experience

Pay: $70,000.00–$ (based on experience)
