We are looking for a candidate who can manage assigned projects throughout their full lifecycle, develop scope and technical sections of proposal and procurement documents, participate in contract negotiations, and oversee the delivery of the project plan to achieve HNTB’s 4 for 4 performance: delivery of quality work, on time, on budget, and client satisfaction.

• Developing the project scope and fee quotation, and assisting in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
• Serve as the primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion with client satisfaction. Lead client contract scoping and negotiations.
• Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
• Implement HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project, lead development and execution of the project management plan, and supervise and mentor team to overall objectives.
• Oversee project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, succession, staffing plan, and performance/compensation reviews.
• Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to support business development, build client relationships, and pursue mega and super mega projects using HNTB's Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA).
• Lead proposal development and interview presentations for strategic, mini‑mega or mega projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 12 years of relevant experience.
• 4 years of successful management of engineering projects.

• Experience winning contracts and delivering 4for4 (on‑time, on‑budget, quality, client satisfaction) on multi‑disciplined or large/complex projects, including independent risk and change management.
• Leadership of large teams inside and outside HNTB using sub‑consultants.
• Proficiency using system tools to manage, monitor, and deliver complex projects.
• Knowledge of HNTB Sophisticated processes as applicable.
• Lead client interface and deployment of talent to other projects.

• 15 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Alternative Delivery/Collaborative Contracting experience.
• FHWA experience.
