Position: Environmental Phase I Field Professional
Dual Scope Subcontractor (Environmental / Property Condition Assessment)

We are seeking experienced field professionals in Ohio to join our subcontractor network, specializing in Environmental and Property Condition Assessments. In this role, you will collaborate with full-time staff to investigate and report on environmental and physical property conditions for various projects across the United States. This position offers a great opportunity in the commercial real estate due diligence industry.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and document dual-scope assessments (ESA/PCA), including environmental site assessments (Phase I) and property condition assessments (PCAs).
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to BLEW Managing Directors and staff, considering the impact on transactions.
  • Oversee quality control throughout project execution.
  • Perform site visits and lead fieldwork activities as needed.
  • Conduct research, including historical and regulatory reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with BLEW team members and site representatives.
  • Perform site reconnaissance and data organization.
  • Prepare supporting documentation, such as site figures and appendices.
  • Assist with additional tasks related to report delivery schedules as assigned by the Managing Director.
Requirements
  • Ability to travel to regional job sites for field investigations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in environmental and property condition assessments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and relevant tools.
  • Certifications such as CEP, RA, or PE are beneficial but not required.
  • Radon & AHERA (Asbestos) certifications are beneficial but not required.
  • Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and HUD scopes of work is advantageous.
