The OpportunityJoin the forefront of innovation at ADB SAFEGATE as an Electrical Engineer Technician on the Airfield R&D Team, where your expertise will drive the development of new airfield light systems, modernization of existing systems, and interconnectivity of airfield solutions. You'll play a crucial role in developing intelligent lighting and power devices, enhancing operational efficiencies, and ensuring the safety and availability of airports worldwide.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team.
You will make an impact by….
- Collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineers to design and develop electrical systems and components.
- Assisting in the construction, part placement, and testing of development prototypes.
- Conducting tests on electrical systems and components to ensure functionality and performance.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and testing issues, providing effective solutions.
- Assisting in the preparation of detailed reports on testing outcomes and system performance in Confluence or Jira.
- Operate, design, and construct laboratory equipment and test benches.
- Maintaining electrical laboratory equipment to ensure optimal operation: PCBA testing, test racks, etc.
- Maintaining accurate records of designs, tests, part measurement, and maintenance activities.
- Maintaining and updating firmware through various mechanisms:
Segger, flashing, PLC download, etc
- Requires an Associates (AS) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in a technical field.
- Proven experience in testing advanced technology, unreleased systems, etc.
- Experience in creating, designing, building, documenting, and validating new test systems.
- Updating or programming in low- and high-level firmware in microcontrollers.
- Ability to read and write technical documentation to setup and run test equipment.
- Ability to utilize tools such as oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, data acquisition systems, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic systems from schematics and manuals.
