SummaryThe Project Manager – Electrical Engineering is responsible for the full life cycle of electrical design engineering, commissioning, energy optimization, sustainability, and engineering/construction projects. The role drives project success while maintaining superior client experience, colleague engagement, and financial sustainability targets.
Qualifications- 4‑year degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 8–10 years of experience in design, process engineering, plant operations, startup, or field construction.
- Professional registration preferred.
- Prior project engineering responsibilities.
- Guide HEAPY service delivery per operating procedures and milestones.
- Advance technical education and personal development.
- Participate in project costing and bid preparation.
- Define project scope, work procedures, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and communication plans.
- Establish a liaison network for client, architect, construction manager coordination.
- Collaborate with the Practice Director, Operations Manager, and Practice Technical Leader to form a project work team.
- Submit documentation for permits and code compliance.
- Hold regular project progress review meetings to ensure contract terms, regulatory compliance, and cost control.
- Represent HEAPY culture and maintain colleague morale.
- Submit accurate progress billing information.
- Meet with client management to resolve issues and obtain final approvals.
- Participate in client feedback and business development efforts.
- Report client management activities in the CRM system.
- Maintain design oversight and leadership for assigned projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Remain sedentary at desk for long periods while operating a computer.
- Communicate in person and by phone.
- Have reliable transportation to and from projects.
- Work in all indoor and outdoor environments (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
- Access jobsites with stairs, ladders, and elevation changes.
- Assume various physical positions (kneeling, sitting, standing, bending).
- Move or transport items up to 25 lb.
- Apply established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Gather, organize, and evaluate project‑related information.
