Plans, designs, and supports fabrication tooling systems. Responsible for organizing highly complex activities for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of tooling projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Plan and design tooling systems to optimize production efficiencies.
- Develop manufacturing drawings in accordance with company standards.
- Consult and oversee the construction of tooling systems with die shop personnel.
- Confer with production, process technicians, and QA during tooling development and line trials.
- Implement operating procedures and provide training on tooling systems.

Skills, Qualifications, Education and/or Relevant Experience- Experience with Solid Works and AutoCAD preferred, or equivalent 3D and 2D software.
- Experience with MS Office software.
- 3–5 years experience in mechanical design, machining, extrusion process.
- Ability to work effectively with others as a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of the extrusion and machining processes.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Leadership abilities, taking charge of situations.
- Good computer skills.
- Highly motivated, self‑starter, can work without direct supervision.
- Positive attitude with focus on continuous improvement.
- Minimum education requirement:
Prefer a BS in engineering, or an associate’s degree with intent to obtain a BS.
- Displays consistent desire to do more than is asked to help coordinate processes.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and time‑sensitive work that can change rapidly.
- Must be able to work while standing for long periods.
- Able to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies (up to 70 lbs.).
- Able to work all shifts as needed.
