Plans, designs, and supports fabrication tooling systems. Responsible for organizing highly complex activities for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of tooling projects.

• Plan and design tooling systems to optimize production efficiencies.
• Develop manufacturing drawings in accordance with company standards.
• Consult and oversee the construction of tooling systems with die shop personnel.
• Confer with production, process technicians, and QA during tooling development and line trials.
• Implement operating procedures and provide training on tooling systems.

• Experience with Solid Works and AutoCAD preferred, or equivalent 3D and 2D software.
• Experience with MS Office software.
• 3–5 years experience in mechanical design, machining, extrusion process.
• Ability to work effectively with others as a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of the extrusion and machining processes.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Leadership abilities, taking charge of situations.
• Good computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self‑starter, can work without direct supervision.
• Positive attitude with focus on continuous improvement.
• Minimum education requirement:
  Prefer a BS in engineering, or an associate’s degree with intent to obtain a BS.

• Displays consistent desire to do more than is asked to help coordinate processes.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and time‑sensitive work that can change rapidly.
• Must be able to work while standing for long periods.
• Able to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies (up to 70 lbs.).
• Able to work all shifts as needed.
