Overview
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Siting Lead to join our Energy Transition team to support and grow the Siting and Routing business in the Midwestern and Eastern United States. The role requires leading siting for clients across sectors such as power generation and transmission, oil and gas, and renewable energies. An understanding of routing and siting processes and public outreach strategies is required.
Roleresponsibilities
- Manage routing and siting studies and lead the preparation of state Public Utilities Commission (PUC) siting applications and technical siting reports.
- Coordinate with public outreach and permitting teams.
- Develop scope and budgets for siting components of project proposals.
- Develop siting strategies and coordinate with clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Balance multiple priorities and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Work in a hybrid environment with remote and office-based tasks as needed; periodic travel required (10-15%).
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, urban planning, engineering, biology, ecology, or similar discipline
- 10 years of total experience in the environmental consulting industry
- 3+ years of experience supporting electric transmission line and substation siting projects in the Midwestern and Eastern US for public utilities
- Experience supporting CPCN filings in the Midwestern and Eastern US
- Experience in task management and assistant project management, with ability to support multiple projects concurrently
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with state siting board regulatory filings outside the Midwest and Eastern US
- Experience siting wind, solar, and other renewable energy projects
- Experience with statistical analysis and raster-based siting studies
Base pay range: $97,600.00/yr - $/yr
Actual salaries vary based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.

We also provide nine paid holidays and 15 days of PTO accrue per year. This role is located in the Columbus, OH area or remote with travel as needed.
