Geophysicist

Conduct analysis and study of the composition, structure and history of the earth's crust to gather geological information to develop and drill oil and gas prospects and projects. Provide geological expertise in the exploration efforts of a geologic province characterized by a high degree of structural complexity and strati graphic variability. Identify hydrocarbon baring intervals through demonstrated proficiency in fundamental and empirical knowledge of elastic properties and associated geophysical signatures.

Proficiently utilize 3-D software packages to map intricate structural and strati graphic hydrocarbon accumulations by the integration of subsurface well data and three dimensional seismic information. Provide geophysical input to generate, screen, prioritize and prepare drilling prospects. Present technical recommendations to partners and management.

This is an entry-level position from our college recruiting / internship program.

Master of Science Degree in Geophysics or Geology required. Demonstrate proficiency or certification in the following 3-D software packages:
Landmark (Seisworks, Powerview, and RAVE) Hampson Russell, Voxelgeo, Petra, Geographix and Spotfire.
