The manufacturing engineer position is responsible for maintaining and improving manual to highly automated assembly and test equipment in a predominantly automotive emission control component manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a team‑based environment.
Principle ResponsibilitiesUtilize proven engineering disciplines and practices to:
- Maintain and improve automation systems, tools, fixtures and gages
- Provide safe and efficient work areas
- Problem solve/root cause analysis and develop action items
- Support production to achieve OEE goals and scrap reduction targets
- Provide technical leadership in supported areas
- Assist in new product line launches
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or other applicable field of Engineering
- 3–6 years experience in automation or manufacturing engineering
- Proficient with MS Office products
- Proficient in CAD, including 2D and 3D modeling
- Experience in PLC, robotics or other machine control systems
- Strong problem‑solving skills, including knowledge of FMEA & SPC
- Project management skills, including strong communication and collaboration with cross‑functional teams
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment>
- Familiarity with plastic injection molding processes a plus
This role is based in Lexington, OH but may require travel to support program launch activities, as necessary.
