Location: Columbus, OH

Key Responsibilities
  • In conjunction with senior staff, licensed engineers, and other junior staff assist with the design and preparation of a variety of residential site development projects throughout the Midwest.
  • Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of service sectors including:
    Surveying, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, Site Construction, etc.
  • Perform and check various design calculations related to creating a design package.
  • Prepare front‑end feasibility documents, due diligence reports, zoning studies, storm‑water modeling and design, cost estimates, and detailed design plans.
  • Occasional day‑travel and field work may be required and coordinated in advance.
  • Other additional tasks as needed, at the direction of supervisor and other senior staff.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 2‑5 years of related experience specializing in residential development.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
  • EIT certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months, with a clear path toward PE licensure.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a vibrant, multi‑faceted team environment.
  • Motivated and flexible; roles and responsibilities may change rapidly.
