Energy Diagnostics is seeking a driven field professional to join our nationally recognized team as an energy efficiency field inspector for multifamily housing projects throughout the US.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on active construction sites, collaborating with project teams, and solving real-world building performance challenges — while building expertise in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the construction industry: energy efficiency and high-performance buildings.
You will travel to multifamily construction projects across the United States, conducting energy performance testing and inspections that ensure buildings meet code requirements and high-performance standards.
You’ll work directly with superintendents, contractors, and developers — serving as both technical expert and collaborative partner.
This is a field-based role with national travel (approximately 60–80%). Most travel occurs during the week, with employees typically home on weekends. All airfare, lodging, and travel expenses are covered. A company vehicle and gas card are provided.
What You’ll Do- Conduct onsite building performance testing (blower door, duct leakage, and related diagnostics)
- Inspect multifamily construction projects for energy code compliance or above-code green building compliance
- Partner with field teams to identify solutions and improve performance outcomes
- Prepare professional reports and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders
- Continuously develop technical expertise in building science and energy standards

Preferred Qualifications- Construction or inspection experience
- Building science knowledge
- Energy code familiarity
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel frequently (fly and drive)
