Energy Specialist
The Office of Energy and Environment within the Ohio Department of Development is presently hiring for an Energy Specialist to join a team of dedicated individuals who help drive Ohio's energy future through innovation, efficiency, and community impact.
What you’ll do:- Delivering expert guidance on energy efficiency, distributed energy, and advanced energy technologies.
- Supporting and implementing state and federal energy programs.
- Conducting technical reviews of energy projects and evaluating their impact on energy use, emissions, and productivity.
- Monitoring and evaluating grant-funded projects, including on-site inspections and compliance reviews.
- Developing and maintaining program guidelines, technical standards, and training materials.
- Preparing proposals and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including federal agencies.
- Representing the department at meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
- Providing high-quality customer service and fostering collaborative relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Completion of undergraduate core program in assigned engineering area (e.g., mechanical, chemical) to include physics & chemistry.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
