The mission of the Hardy center is to prepare young minds for prosperous future through literacy life skills and leadership. We provide a safe, nurturing environment, free from bullying and intimidation. Our programs provide school-like instruction, homework help, tutoring, computer skills, life skills, nutrition education, and hot healthy meals every operating day, at no cost. Additionally, we provide unique learning experiences to maximize feelings of joy and accomplishment.

We offer chess club, fencing, Lego learning, martial arts, industrial arts, performing arts, gardening, bible study, and unicycle instruction - that's right, we teach them how to ride unicycles! Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.

Member Duties :
As our Summer Camp Liaison and Operations Support you will help foster the healthy development of both the children we serve, as well as, our organization. Daily activities will include things such as recruiting volunteers, providing Summer Feed Program meals, tutoring, as well as business planning. The site supervisor - who is also the organization's founder - will work alongside you to complete all tasks.

That means you'll have a chance for mentoring and skill building! You'll have access to a computer always and will be reimbursed for any travel. You'll be a valued member of the team and will supplement our abilities to serve more high-risk children with the care they need.
