Daily Substitute Teachers: Middle and High School

The Arts & College Preparatory Academy (ACPA) is an arts focused, independent community school on the east side of Columbus that serves a diverse population of students in grades 7 through 12 from over 25 different districts in central Ohio. ACPA is in its twenty-third year of operation and has consistently been one of the highest performing charter schools in Ohio.

ACPA is seeking qualified candidates for daily substitutes for the  school year. These positions will report to the School Principals and will be highly supportive of the counseling team, classroom teachers, school social workers, and other members of the student support staff. ACPA Staff are crucial in all areas of student success - academics, social/emotional learning and overall continual growth; this responsbility extends to our guest artists and substitute teachers.

All staff members will also be expected to reflect ACPA's mission, vision and values of kindness, respect for diversity, honesty, problem solving, communication, participation and awareness in all interactions.

Responsibilities:

General Expectations

• Building Substitutes are responsibile for their report time, clocking in and out using ACPA's time keeping system.
• Building Substitutes are responsible for supporting and reinforcing classroom teachers' daily lessons and classroom mangement systems.

• Cultivate an environment of creativity, safety, inclusion, acceptance, and anti-bullying and exemplify the ACPA values within their classroom structures and lessons.

Qualifications

• Hold a high school diploma or higher.
• Hold a current Ohio Substitute Teaching License.

Compensation & Benefits

• Daily Substitutes are paid per job accepted, daily rate is $150
