Academic Program Services Consultant## Department:

Engineering | Computer Science and Engineering The Academic Program Services Consultant provides high‑level academic program and administrative support for undergraduate programs within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). The position applies specialized expertise, independent judgment, and advanced project management skills to manage complex academic processes, improve operational effectiveness, and support student success.

The incumbent serves as a primary owner and subject‑matter authority for assigned academic programs, curriculum processes, and compliance activities.

Manage department course proposals and curriculum approval processes, ensuring compliance with institutional, college, and accreditation requirements. Partner with the CSE Undergraduate Academic Advising Manager to evaluate curriculum changes, assess student impact, and support communication and implementation strategies. Serve as the primary departmental resource for course scheduling support and coordination.

Coordinate transfer credit evaluation and articulation, collaborating with faculty to ensure accuracy and consistency. Apply specialized knowledge to resolve complex or precedent setting transfer credit scenarios.

Provide high level administrative and analytical support for accreditation preparation, reporting, and ongoing compliance activities. Maintain documentation, timelines, and metrics necessary to support successful accreditation outcomes.

Compile, analyze, and present statistics, reports, and trend analyses to support academic planning and continuous improvement. Develop or refine practices, processes, metrics, or models that improve the undergraduate academic experience and operational efficiency. Recommend solutions that may set precedent and have long term institutional impact.

Support student enrollment initiatives, including unit-level scholarship selection in collaboration with the college scholarship office. Perform related administrative and coordination activities to enhance the student experience.

Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues. Convey complex, sensitive, or high impact information clearly and professionally to a wide range of stakeholders. Facilitate productive dialogue and influence others to explore alternative solutions or approaches.

** Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 6 years’ experience in experience supporting curriculum management, accreditation processes, or academic advising operations, etc. Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills. Advanced understanding of academic program management and university systems. Ability to independently manage complex, multi‑stakeholder projects. Strong data analysis, reporting, and problem‑solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication, including facilitation of sensitive discussions.
