- Relocation assistance provided
- Facilitating adaptive reading workshops focused on building core competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension
- Creating personalized motivational experiences that engage students and foster a lifelong passion for reading
- Reviewing student performance data to iteratively improve instructional methods and generate actionable insights
- Partnering with the technology team to assess and refine AI-powered literacy tools
- Following pre-scripted curricula or implementing published scope-and-sequence frameworks
Key Responsibilities
Cultivate a passion for reading in early learners
Basic Requirements- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree or advanced certification in reading instruction (examples include Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years delivering small-group reading interventions to students in early elementary grades
- Capable of evaluating reading levels, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction independent of pre-written materials
- Experienced with AI and adaptive learning platforms, with responsiveness to student behavior patterns within these systems
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship

Alpha School delivers an AI-powered reading program that redefines early literacy instruction. You will facilitate targeted, high-impact workshops rather than conventional hour-long class periods. Your role centers on assessing student needs, developing original evidence-based lessons independently, and contributing to adaptive technologies that extend your expertise to hundreds of learners. This position is designed for reading specialists who excel beyond rigid curricula and aspire to lead scalable literacy innovation.
Workingwith Us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
