Position Overview

The Ohio State University’s School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty member within the Learning Health Systems Collaborative at the Assistant Professor rank. We are seeking faculty who will teach courses within the CARESTREAM program and Doctorate of Physical Therapy program while helping to establish a new program dedicated to applied learning health systems competency and health services research training in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences’ Learning Health Systems Collaborative.

The position will entail teaching and mentoring consistent with expertise, developing and sustaining an extramurally funded and productive scholarship program through publications and presentations, and contributing to service needs of the School, College, University and appropriate professional organizations.

Areas of particular interest include hospital harm reduction, fall prevention, rehabilitation service optimization, and facilitating transitions of care, with specific attention to supporting quality improvement and health service delivery model optimization. Individuals with experience partnering with health systems to study and redesign clinical processes, strengthen workforce training models, advance educational scholarship, and build academic–medical center partnerships that support learning health system initiatives would be a strong fit.
