Research Faculty – Neurology – Neurogenetics (Open Rank/Track Faculty). Department:
Medicine | Neurology, Division of Neurogenetics, College of Medicine, Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. Position type:
Regular, 40 h weekly, First Shift.
Location:
Institute for Behavioral Medicine Research (0878). Full‑time, tenure‑track ranks:
Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor.
- Lead research employing molecular, cellular, neurobiological, genetic, and/or genomic approaches to neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, aging).
Priority given to translational research. - Integrate cutting‑edge techniques such as high‑throughput screening, functional genomics, big‑data analytics, and machine learning using human and/or animal experimental models.
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects and publications; pursue investigator‑initiated research.
- Contribute to institutional goals of multidisciplinary research, community engagement, and educational initiatives.
- Doctorate (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant field; holding at least a terminal degree.
- Experience in neurodegenerative disease research with a proven publication record.
- Ability to secure external funding and form collaborations.
- Willingness to engage in both research and service components of the faculty role.
