Columbus, OH - Fully Remote - Ability to travel nationally on a weekly basis.
The client is implementing SAP HCM EC and ECP.
We are seeking a passionate, driven, and experienced Senior SAP Instructional Designer & Training Lead to design, develop, and lead the delivery of customized, role‑based blended learning programs for clients implementing or upgrading SAP. This position will partner closely with the internal training lead to provide strategic oversight, instructional design expertise, and hands‑on development of training content – with a primary focus on Walk Me digital adoption solutions and supplemental content in SAP Enable Now.
The role requires a blend of technical expertise, instructional design mastery, leadership capability, and the ability to drive user adoption through effective training strategies.
Required Skills- Proven ability to develop engaging, effective training curriculum that enhances user adoption and performance.
- 3+ years of experience with major ERP systems.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with various SAP modules.
- Expertise in Walk Me content creation (Smart Walk‑Thrus, Launchers, Shout Outs, Smart Tips) and familiarity with SAP Enable Now.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Knowledge of Instructional Design Theory, ADDIE methodology, and Adult Learning Principles.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional attitude and demeanor.
- Ability to travel nationally on a weekly basis.
- SAP S/4
HANA project experience. - Professional services / Big 4 consulting experience.
- Classroom training delivery experience.
- Change management and user adoption strategy experience.
- Lead the design, planning, and development of SAP training programs in partnership with the internal training lead.
- Create and implement custom education programs incorporating Adult Learning Principles and best‑practice delivery techniques.
- Design and build interactive Walk Me solutions to guide users through SAP processes and improve adoption.
- Develop supplemental learning materials in SAP Enable Now, including simulations, guided tours, and e‑learning modules.
- Conduct training needs assessments and define course objectives based on findings.
- Plan, design, develop, organize, write, and edit instructor‑led training content and storyboards for e‑learning modules (WBT, CBT, eLearning).
- Interview Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to gather requirements for blended education solutions.
- Develop evaluation measures including knowledge checks, course evaluations, and tests.
- Participate in content review, revision, and sign‑off cycles.
- Conduct Train‑The‑Trainer sessions (possibility to expand into training delivery in subsequent phases of the project if desired).
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and project reporting, including issue identification and resolution.
