Assistant Professor - Tenure Track - Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism
Position at The Ohio State University College of Medicine – Wexner Medical Center.
Position OverviewThe Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism seeks a research faculty member with interest and or expertise in endocrinology‑related research. The role combines cutting‑edge research, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Duties & Responsibilities- Conceptualize, plan, design, implement, and conduct research studies in endocrinology, including disorders, diabetes, metabolism, endocrine cancer, reproductive endocrinology, lipids, osteoporosis, and neuroendocrine.
- Develop and write grant proposals to secure extramural funding; obtain and maintain at least one NIH R01 or equivalent award.
- Publish and present research in high‑quality, peer‑reviewed scientific journals and national/international conferences; build a scholarly reputation.
- Instruct and mentor junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents, and fellows; participate in departmental, college and university committees.
- Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. in an applicable field.
- Proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Current, active extramural grant funding (equivalent to NIH R01 or a career‑development award).
- Academic experience a plus.
- Qualify for an academic appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level.
