Instructor Assistant - West Central

Assists an Instructor in supervising and instructing students with developmental disabilities to provide basic skill development in life skills, leisure skills, community and transitional skills. Provides training to students in community-based settings, which may require using public transportation or driving a county vehicle.

• Support daily lesson plan implementation for assigned students, meeting objectives in Individual Educational Plans.
• Assist with extracurricular activities and maintain a conducive, safe classroom environment.
• Prepare and maintain written records and reports, including attendance, program objectives, behavioral data, progress data, and assist with transportation.
• Participate in staff training programs and professional development activities.
• May perform delegated nursing tasks and other related duties as assigned.
