Provide quality instruction and maintain a positive learning environment. Emphasize teaching, supporting, and evaluating students.

• Teach assigned courses as scheduled and assume primary responsibility for oversight of curriculum in conjunction with department policies.
• Consider individual differences of students and design appropriate learning activities.
• Use technology appropriately and communicate expectations to students.
• Keep accurate records in accordance with departmental policies.
• Maintain attendance records, submit grades timely, and provide feedback throughout the semester.
• Distribute accurate syllabi that incorporate departmental, college, cross‑college, and instructor requirements.
• Employ assessment techniques to measure student performance.
• Engage in periodic meetings with department leadership relative to teaching duties and professional development.

• Create a positive classroom atmosphere encouraging active learning and collaboration.
• Maintain posted office hours per departmental policies.
• Use technology for communication with students.
• Encourage a sense of community among students.
• Refer students to appropriate support services.

• Foster a safe environment of respect and inclusion for all.

• Minimum Qualifications:
  
  Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relative job experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience teaching/counseling at any level.
• Experience with full stack web development (HTML, CSS, PHP, JS, Git, AWS, Agile, Docker, web database technologies).
• Opportunities available for teaching days, evenings, or weekends.
• Combination of education, training, coursework, and experience may qualify a candidate.

• Classroom may be in-person or online.

Compensation: $56.88 per contact hour

Contact hour definition:
Two hours equals one contact hour
