Position Overview
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a dynamic and accomplished researcher to join our esteemed faculty. The successful candidate will have a robust track record in cardiovascular research and will help advance cutting‑edge studies aimed at understanding and treating cardiovascular diseases. The role also involves active engagement in teaching and mentoring, shaping the next generation of cardiovascular specialists through lectures, seminars, and hands‑on training, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Write and publish research in high‑quality, peer‑reviewed scientific journals.
- Attend and present research at national and international scientific conferences.
- Develop national and international scholarly reputation.
- Instruct and mentor junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university committees and initiatives.
- Conceptualize, plan, design, implement, and conduct research studies in cardiovascular medicine.
- Develop and write grant proposals to obtain and maintain funding for the research program.
- Obtain and maintain NIH R01 or equivalent funding.
