Fisher College | Operations and Business Analytics

Position Overview The Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University invites applications for an Adjunct Professor to teach in the Master of Business Operational Excellence (MBOE) program. This role involves teaching 1–2 graduate level courses in the upcoming Spring 2026 cohort. We are seeking experienced professionals with a strong background in operational excellence and a passion for developing leaders in continuous improvement.

The Master of Business Operational Excellence (MBOE) is a unique, executive-style graduate program designed for working professionals who lead or aspire to lead operational excellence transformations in their organizations. The program blends rigorous academic content with practical application, emphasizing systems thinking, problem-solving, and leadership development across a wide range of industries.

All courses are taught in person on the University’s main campus in Columbus, Ohio.

Performance Objectives
* Deliver high-impact, practice-oriented instruction aligned with the program’s focus on operational excellence.
* Collaborate with program faculty and staff to ensure course content is current, relevant, and aligned with industry needs.
* Engage with a diverse cohort of mid- to senior-level professionals from various industries.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to students on applied projects and leadership development.

Education and Experience Requirements
* Master’s degree (MBA, MBOE, or related field).
* Demonstrated teaching ability or significant experience facilitating adult learning in professional settings.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A collaborative mindset and commitment to student success.

Desired Qualifications
* Experience applying the following principles across varied industries (e.g., healthcare, manufacturing, services, government).  + Training Within Industry (TWI)  + Kaizen and Continuous Improvement  + Leader Standard Work  + Daily Management Systems  + Strategy Development and Deployment (e.g., Hoshin Kanri)  + Application of technology in operational excellence initiatives
