Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians (MD/DO) for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Bellefontaine, OH. This long-term need offers a stable rural setting, strong specialty support, and flexible scheduling in a high-functioning emergency department.

We are actively seeking board-certified Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine physicians with recent emergency department experience to join our locum pool for 12-hour shifts. Enjoy working in a collaborative, well-equipped community hospital with excellent support and robust specialty backup.

Opportunity Details:

• Location: Bellefontaine, OH
• Contract Type: Locum Tenens
• Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing
• Duration: Long-Term Assignment (6+ months)
• Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Advanced Practice Provider Support: APP on-site from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Emergency Department Details:

• Annual ED Volume: 20,000 visits
• ED Bed Count: 17
• Average PPH: 1.8
• Admission Rate: 9%
• Transfer Rate: 7%
• Average Codes: 2–3 per week
• EMR: Meditech (Web-Based) with M
  * Modal Voice Transcription

Support & Specialty Services:

• Hospitalists: 2 Full-Time MDs + 24/7 NP Coverage (Admit nearly all inpatient cases)
• Specialty Support:
  • Ob/Gyn
  • Cardiology with 24/7 Level 2 Cath Lab
  • ENT (3 Providers)
  • Orthopedics (including Hand Surgery)
  • Urology, Peds, and Internal Medicine

Provider Requirements:

• Board Certification: ABEM or ABFM with active EM experience
• Licensure: Active Ohio Medical License
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, ATLS (preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
