Physician - Family and Community Medicine, Family Medicine​/Track Faculty

Position Overview

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a full‑time, board‑certified or eligible family medicine physician to join the Department of Family and Community Medicine. The academic rank and track will be commensurate with the applicant’s academic record and experience.

The Department of Family Medicine is a nationally ranked academic program that includes 83 faculty members, 6 fellows, and 27 residents. It offers a comprehensive primary care curriculum that spans sports medicine, occupational medicine, integrative medicine, behavioral health, and health services research. Faculty provide medical student education through clinical lectures, rotations, and the comprehensive primary care plus clinic staffed by dietitians, behavioral health specialists, social workers, pharmacists, medical assistants, and nurses.

• Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program
• Board certified or eligible
• Eligible for an Ohio State medical license
• Qualify for an academic appointment at the assistant or associate professor level (academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience)

Clinical Faculty (regardless of rank)
Assistant, associate, or professor clinical titles. Clinical faculty focus on exemplary clinical care, teaching, and/or research. Positions are appointed for three to five years and may be reappointed to successive terms.

Tenure‑Track Faculty (regardless of rank)
Assistant, associate, or professor titles. Tenure‑track faculty focus primarily on research, service, and teaching, and may also be involved in clinical care.

Research Faculty (regardless of rank)
Research assistant, associate, or professor titles. Research faculty focus exclusively on research and are appointed for one to five years.
