Associate Photographer – Columbus, OH

Overview

The Associate Photographer is responsible for the media collection for  and  Equipped with a top‑of‑the‑line Pro 3 Matterport, digital camera equipment, and an iPad, Associate Photographers create virtual tours, floor plans, and photography for residential homes. Each photographer has a core territory and manages appointments to scan homes and apartments, capture virtual tours, floor plans, and residential photography for marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Support marketing efforts on our industry‑leading marketplaces,  and , by capturing beautiful 3‑D virtual tours and footprints.
  • Create a portfolio of photographs that best feature homes and apartments using photography techniques to capture spaces in the most pleasing way possible.
  • Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
  • Professionally communicate with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to strategically evaluate priorities, initiatives, and tasks.
  • When not working on a residential home, navigate one‑mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real‑estate data coverage, identify new inventory and missing availability, and photograph commercial properties.
  • Abide by CoStar safety standards to safeguard company vehicle and equipment.
  • Represent CoStar in a professional manner at all times and participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.
Physical Requirements

Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing, walking, and lifting up to 5 lb. equipment. Repetitive hand and arm movements for operating camera and tablet. Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying. Must work and drive outside during all seasons and be able to work weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of professional experience; real‑estate photography experience required.
  • Recent degree in photography or experience working as a professional photographer.
  • Experienced drone photographer with a FAA Part 107 license/certification obtained within 30 days of offer.
  • Strong time‑management skills, detail‑oriented, and ability to capture and enter data accurately.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Apple OS, Microsoft Office, and internet applications.
  • Enjoy working independently in a fast‑paced environment; field experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
Compensation and Benefits

The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus‑eligible. Bonuses are paid monthly and based on performance against pre‑determined metrics. The base pay is approximately $50,000 annually, with the potential for monthly bonuses bringing total compensation up to $70,000.
