Ballet Instructor

Clement Arts is dedicated to supporting vulnerable, foster, and adoptive families through gospel-centered initiatives and creative arts experiences. By providing high-quality fine-arts instruction in a Christ-centered, enjoyable environment, the organization offers foster children the opportunity to attend classes tuition-free. Partnering with local churches and child welfare agencies, Clement Arts strives to empower communities to support families during times of crisis. The organization also hosts artistic events such as concerts, performances, and art shows to further engage the community and raise funds for this mission.

This position is for a passionate and skilled Ballet Instructor to lead classes for students. This role involves teaching classical ballet in a nurturing, Christ-centered, and structured environment. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in classical ballet, experience working with children, and a heart for discipleship through the arts.

• Plan and lead students through a structured, classical ballet class including warm-up, barre, center work, and across-the-floor combinations.
• Teach foundational ballet steps, positions, and movements using classical ballet vocabulary (French terms with English translations), emphasizing proper alignment, turnout, musicality, coordination, and flexibility.
• Choreograph one dance per class for the winter Clement Arts Showcase and be available to support and oversee dancers during rehearsals and the performance.
• Create a loving, joyful, and safe space for students to grow in confidence and skill.
• Introduce and reinforce ballet etiquette, classroom structure, and safe dance practices.
• Provide gentle correction and encouragement to help students improve.
• Model and teach respectful student‑teacher and peer interactions.
• Incorporate prayer and the Clement Arts Creed into the class rhythm.

• Prior teaching experience in classical ballet, preferably 1 or more of the following: beginning ballet, intermediate ballet, beginning pointe, intermediate pointe
• Strong working knowledge of classical ballet vocabulary, technique, and pedagogy.
• Commitment to excellence in ballet instruction and heart for discipleship.
• Ability to lead with warmth, authority, and grace in a classroom setting.
• Alignment with the mission and values of Clement Arts.
• Strong communication skills with both children and parents.
