Overview

Equity Construction Solutions (ECS) is a Central Ohio-based general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial construction projects. As Sr. Superintendent, you are responsible for ensuring the assigned construction projects are successfully delivered on-time and on-budget/on-time. This includes monitoring the project from planning through turn-over, adhering and driving the team to the schedule, reporting on progress to owners and project managers, ensuring quality standards are met and maintained, overseeing field safety, site cleanliness and organization, and monitoring field staff and subcontractors.

From time to time, you will be performing some physical aspects of construction.

You are the connector from the field to the Project Managers, General Superintendent, Director of Operations, and/or regional construction leaders

• Accountable for setting the example, according to the ECS Mission and Corporate Values, while protecting ECS against risks
• Elevate and enhance company perception through overall field leadership
• Responsible to ensure safety standards are understood and maintained by the field and trade contractors alike
• Oversee on-site safety program for ECS – setting the expectations, auditing and recording information constantly for safety concerns, correcting, compliance, and communication
• Ensure safe and clean job sites are continually maintained
• Monitor all jobsite document controls including daily reports, QA/QC checklists, punch lists, schedule updates, quantity reporting, accident and incident reports, and field issues or changes, and any other site activity
• Creatively and effectively improve the schedule, as needed
• Ensure all permits are in place
• Oversight of construction field subcontractors
• Communicate with subcontractors and field staff to ensure adherence to schedules, plans, and specifications
• Inspect completed and in-progress structures and sites for compliance and conformation to material and structural needs, driving the project to on time and on budget
• Host clients and owners, on the job site, and answer questions that arise in conjunction with the Project Manager
• Mentor and develop less experienced team members, by request
• Assist with developing best practices based on industry knowledge and company needs

• Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent experience, preferred
• 10+ years of general contracting experience
• Working knowledge of construction tracking software and AIA contract software
• OSHA 30 hour certified
• 1 Aid/CPR/AED certification, preferred
• Experience building medical, retail, and senior/assisted living facilities, preferred
