Quantity Surveyor

Overview:
Currie & Brown is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our cost management team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of a wide range of projects by providing accurate cost planning, procurement advice, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare cost estimates, cost plans, and feasibility studies for various project stages.

Assist with procurement processes, including tender documentation, evaluation, and contract award.

Produce bills of quantities (BOQs) and review contractor submissions.

Monitor project budgets and perform cost control and reporting.

Conduct valuations, assess variations, and prepare interim and final accounts.

Support contract administration and risk management processes.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure cost and commercial objectives are met.

Provide input on value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

3–6 years of experience in a consultancy or contractor environment.

Familiarity with standard forms of contract such as FIDIC, JCT, or NEC.

Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills.

Experience in sectors such as data centres, healthcare, or infrastructure is an advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost management tools.

Working towards MRICS, AIQS, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
