The Construction Project Scheduler plays a pivotal role in planning and coordinating electrical construction projects. They are responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring seamless integration and sequencing of tasks to achieve project objectives. Working closely with project managers, field teams, general contractors, and suppliers, they collaborate to optimize project timelines, resource allocation, and minimize delays. This position reports to the Vice President of Preconstruction.
Responsibilities:
Create and update project electrical construction schedules using P6, considering activities, sequencing, resources, and constraints.Establish accurate timelines for construction activities, accounting for dependencies and critical paths.Coordinate with project managers, field teams, and stakeholders to allocate resources efficiently, resolve conflicts, and minimize delays.Monitor project progress by collecting and analyzing data, identifying schedule deviations, risks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of schedules, progress reports, change orders, and relevant records.Generate regular reports, presentations, and updates to stakeholders on project status, milestones, and upcoming activities.Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction scheduling through continuous professional development.Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in construction scheduling or a similar role.Proficient in construction scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).Knowledge and experience in electrical construction processes, methods, and terminology.Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Associates degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).The Superior Group is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or status of a protected veteran.
