The Consultant, Program & Change Management will serve as ALO’s dedicated change management lead across multiple large, enterprise‑driven transformation efforts (e.g., Annuity Modernization, Flagship AI, funded operational changes, and cross‑functional initiatives).

Unlike traditional project‑embedded change managers, this role provides an elevated, enterprise-wide view of all change impacting ALO, ensuring operational readiness, alignment, and clear communication across all levels.

The consultant will partner with transformation program change managers, SBS change teams, impact managers, communications partners, and operational leaders to create a cohesive ALO change management model and raise overall maturity.

• Serve as ALO’s Central Change Management Hub: Connect and synthesize change activities occurring across programs, SBS, Shared Services, and other business units.
• Assess Enterprise Change Impact on Operations: Analyze program timelines, scope, and impacts to front‑line associates, operational readiness, customer/member experience, and staffing.
• Lead End‑to‑End Change Management

  Facilitate stakeholder analysis, communications planning, readiness assessments, training coordination, reinforcement plans, and post‑implementation evaluation (90‑day outcome measurement).
• Mature ALO’s Change Management Framework: Build repeatable methods, intake processes, and capability‑building practices for long‑term change enablement.
• Collaborate with Communications: Partner with ALO Communications (e.g., ALOCOM newsletter team) to leverage existing channels for change readiness updates and messaging.
• Represent ALO in Program Forums: Build strong relationships with change managers from enterprise transformation initiatives.

• Proven experience leading large‑scale transformational change from discovery through implementation and reinforcement.
• Expertise in ADKAR or Prosci methodologies;

• Ability to communicate across all levels of leadership, from executives to front‑line teams.
• Strong facilitation, influence, and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to identify change impacts, readiness gaps, and operational risks.

• Experience collaborating with impact managers, communications teams, or operational readiness groups.
• Background in insurance, annuity, or financial services.

This position will be hired on a Success Flex basis.

Work schedule:

2 days in office, 3 days remote.

As a Consultant, you’ll lead design, planning and implementation of change strategies. This work includes implementation of program management, business readiness, and business release management capability projects to increase engagement, performance, and capacity for change. You’ll be responsible for multiple simultaneous medium and large‑scale projects across channels, businesses and functions.

• Manages program management and change management activities in alignment with Nationwide’s change strategy, methods, tools and program plans.
